[Images: Continuing today's astronomy theme, these are optical labyrinths of the sky, mapped, from what may be one of the most beautiful books ever published: the Atlas Coelestis (1742) by Johann Gabriel Doppelmayr].
Many years ago now, I took a course at the Comp Lit institute at Free Berlin Uni, on 'The Labyrinth'. It was a course that was just as eclectic and enigmatic as the various existing labyrinths themselves (symbolic and physical). Good fun was: Through the labyrinth : designs and meanings over 5000 years / Hermann Kern. Published Munich ; London : Prestel, 2000. cheers
