This photograph immediately reminded me of the highway in Buenos Aires that goes from the airport to the city. It was built during the military dictatorship. It winds through the buildings, so that you can see the city dwellers lives flash by you: their underwear hanging to dry, their sad houseplants in kitchen windows, a blue flicker of a TV pressing on a closed window...
